After our whirlwind first week of September, Jon and I flew up to San Fran for a few days of "nothing." We enjoyed not having anything planned (too much) and took time to just be with each other. LOTS of walking and LOTS of hills and LOTS of fun!
Aunt Meeee kept the kids. Eleanor was an easy & distractable 2 year old. Ethan, however, really didn't take too well to mommy & daddy being gone. I HATED hearing that he wasn't a little angel, but sometimes we all need learning experiences. He's been quite agreeable & has listened much better recently....not sure if it's him maturing, or fear that we'll leave again. Who knows! Kids are funny creatures....and not a single one the same!
I look forward to our next excursion...which won't be for a few years. Thank you, Uncle Sam! That's okay, because there is still so much to do here in SoCal!

| Not only did I want to run it because it's the Golden Gate, but because I thought it would honor the memory of a friend's brother. A very emotional run, for sure. |
 |
| "Early" architecture completely amazes me! I know it's no St. Paul's Cathedral, but still rather impressive! |
 |
Why wouldn't we?? Awesomest thing...Public House!
A bar that is attached to the stadium. You can purchase 2 beers and walk into the stadium. Best idea ever!! |
 |
| Great seats with a gorgeous view! |
 |
| Where it all began....back in 2004! |

| A shout out to my homie, DH! |
 |
| A view from somewhere along Hyde street....um, that was a steep one. I turned to walk backwards up it just to give the legs a rest! |
Sure, we took a bunch of pictures. But who really likes to look at landscape and architecture...especially when you didn't take the photo??!
It was a great time & an awesome way to kick off three weeks of leave!!
